The 16th Heat Pump Forum 2026 & 11th “Energy Saving Cup” Heat Pump System Application Design Competition has successfully concluded. Vanward New Electric (SHE: 002543), a publicly listed company, received two major industry honors: its self-developed AI-powered heat pump energy-saving research paper was awarded the Excellent Paper Award, while the Heating Project for Shiye Zhiyou Homestay in Arctic Village, Mohe City won the Best Application Award for Heat Pump Comfort Home Solutions.

From advanced intelligent algorithms to real-world applications in extreme cold environments, Vanward’s comprehensive heat pump technology capabilities have gained high recognition from industry experts.

The event was organized by the China Heat Pump Alliance and it is recognized as one of the most professional and influential industry events in China’s heat pump sector. Alongside academic paper evaluations and engineering case competitions, an expert panel consisting of industry specialists, university HVAC professors, and senior engineering designers conducted rigorous assessments across five key dimensions: technological innovation, extreme cold climate adaptability, energy-saving and economic benefits, residential comfort experience, and market scalability. The awarded achievements represent the forefront of technological development in the heat pump industry.

Advanced Technology Breakthrough: Intelligent Energy-Saving Solution Wins Industry Recognition

Vanward’s R&D team’s paper, “DeepSeek-Based Heat Pump Energy-Saving Solution for Users in Cold Regions Driven by Peak-valley Electric Charges and Weather Data,” stood out among numerous entries. Addressing key challenges in northern cold regions — including high heating electricity costs, temperature fluctuations, and insufficient utilization of peak-valley electric charges — the solution uses the DeepSeek LLM as an intelligent decision-making core. By integrating weather forecasts, time-of-use electricity prices, indoor temperature and humidity, and equipment operation data, it builds a dedicated heat pump energy management knowledge base and enables dynamic water temperature adjustment with a personalized approach for each household.

Field testing in a severe cold project in Dongning, Heilongjiang, demonstrated that under normal winter conditions, the intelligent control system reduced daily electricity consumption by 27.1% and heating electricity costs by 34.8%. During 22 consecutive days of extreme cold operation, it still achieved a 5.2% reduction in electricity costs, while comparable projects in the same region experienced increases of 15.2%–28.9%. The system also achieved a 13% peak-valley load shifting rate and significantly improved indoor temperature stability, providing a mature pathway for intelligent energy-saving heating solutions in northern coal-to-electricity transition projects.

Benchmark Project: Extreme Cold Homestay Solution Wins Best Heat Pump Comfort Application Award

Vanward won the Best Heat Pump Comfort Home Application Award for the “Shiye Zhiyou Homestay Heating Project in Beiji Village, Mohe City.” Located in one of China’s coldest regions, the project faces winter temperatures as low as -46°C. The entire homestay, covering more than 1,000 square meters of heating area, is equipped with Vanward Yan46 Super Heat Pump Floor Heating Units.

Powered by Vanward’s self-developed same-source cascade high-efficiency heat pump technology and proprietary low-temperature high-performance refrigerant, the system delivers stable heating throughout the day without additional electric auxiliary heating. The floor heating system provides gentle, non-drying warmth, while the remote intelligent operation and maintenance platform enables efficient management. Compared with traditional heating systems, the solution reduces annual energy consumption by more than 40% with zero pollutant emissions, ensuring reliable indoor comfort even under extreme cold conditions and setting a benchmark for clean heating applications in northern tourism homestays.
