Vanward Egypt Phase II Project Breaks Ground, Accelerating Global Expansion Across the Middle East and Africa

On the morning of October 6, local time in Egypt, Vanward officially held the groundbreaking ceremony for the Phase II project of its Egypt manufacturing base. Representatives from Egyptian government departments, including Major General Ahmed Gamal Mohamed, Vice Chairman of the Suez Canal Economic Zone; Daixin Li, Chairman of China-Egypt TEDA Suez Economic and Trade Cooperation Zone; Vanward Executive President on Duty Lucy Lu, Vice President Edmond Yeung, Egypt Base Head Zhilong Ma, and representatives of the project contractor attended the ceremony and witnessed this important milestone.

In his speech, Vanward Executive President on Duty Lucy Lu reviewed the development of the Egypt base. Construction began in January 2024, followed by more than a year of intensive development. In March 2025, the first batch of products successfully rolled off the production line. On January 11, 2026, Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly visited the base, marking its official transition into large-scale production. This progress was made possible by strong support from government authorities at all levels in areas including project approval, infrastructure development, the business environment, and assistance in addressing business challenges, laying a solid foundation for the successful launch of Phase II.

Lucy Lu noted that Egypt is the third-largest economy in Africa and an important manufacturing hub in the Middle East and North Africa, with strong geographical advantages and significant development potential. Vanward's decision to invest in and continue developing in Egypt reflects its confidence in the country's economic prospects and the strong foundation of China-Egypt economic and trade cooperation.

Major General Ahmed Gamal Mohamed, Vice Chairman of the Suez Canal Economic Zone, congratulated Vanward on the launch of Phase II. He noted that the Sokhna Industrial Zone has become an important platform for deepening China-Egypt economic and industrial cooperation. Vanward's Egypt base is an industrial investment project that supports local manufacturing, promotes technology localization, and increases product value. It will also create new employment opportunities and enhance the professional skills of Egyptian technical talent, aligning with the Egyptian government's goals of supporting industrial development and strengthening production and export capabilities. The Suez Canal Economic Zone General Authority will continue to provide a competitive business environment as well as the necessary support and facilitation to accelerate the implementation of the project and its expansion.

Daixin Li, Chairman of China-Egypt TEDA Suez Economic and Trade Cooperation Zone, said that Vanward is an important enterprise in the cooperation zone and a vivid example of industrial cooperation between China and Egypt. The launch of Phase II marks a new stage in Vanward's cooperation with Egypt and the cooperation zone. He expressed his hope that Vanward would take Phase II as a new starting point to further develop the Egyptian market and contribute more to Egypt's industrial development and employment.

In recent years, Vanward has continued to strengthen its global expansion. With its manufacturing bases in Thailand and Egypt entering production and expanding investment and capacity, the company has gradually established a global supply chain structure built around multiple bases in China + Thailand + Egypt, further strengthening its ability to respond to geopolitical trading risks. This strategy is already contributing to its global business performance. In the first half of 2026, export sales accounted for 46.3% of Vanward's operating revenue, bringing a more balanced domestic and overseas sales structure and making exports an increasingly important support for the company through industry cycles.
